National Credential Credential: Credentialing Agency: The Certified Hazardous Materials Technician Level I (WSO-CHMT I) is an entry-level to mid-level hazardous materials technician credential. The WSO-CHMT I provides an evaluation of hazardous material workers and first responders with the necessary skills and knowledge to detect, identify and classify hazardous materials, evaluate the level of risk associated with hazardous materials/waste, and handle minor incidents.
